Athena Jett is a Las Vegas native and has been singing for 10+ years. She has been singing jazz music at local gigs for a couple years, but since her Season 22 American Idol audition, she has felt more comfortable singing and experimenting with different genres. Her dream is to share her favorite genres of music with the world and inspire others in the same way that her idols have inspired her.

Her debut single "The Gamble" (co-written with Luke-Michael Baker) was her first instance of writing/performing non-jazz music. The song pays homage to her hometown, Las Vegas, as well as her parents (both being professional poker players). Athena states "I wanted to highlight the risk/reward of both gambling and love. Both are high risk, both you put your whole heart into, and both are a game that you could lose everything for."
